Ate a great big breakfast at the hotel this morning. Hopped in the car to head to Philadelphia. Emmett moaning that the DVD player in the car won't work. It's a 20 minute drive to the city I tell him. For about 10 minutes, that's just not good enough and he continues to complain but as the city skyline comes in to view, quiet settles over the car. We pass over an enormous bridge which straddles the Delaware River and enter Philadelphia. First stop Independence Hall. Enjoy Ben's 'enthusiastic' welcome....

ummm....Philadelphia is actually south of the Big Apple and as much as possible, we planned the trip in a south-westerly direction towards Tucson and we really hope not to be taking too many detours. But thanks for the advice ;)
