4th of July!

We spent a wonderful relaxing day with the Rosenthals in Falls Church. James, Gram and the kids spent a few hours in DC in the morning while the rest of us stayed back and prepared the afternoon's feast - potato salad, burgers, sausage and 6 massive racks of ribs. It was an excruciatingly hot day but to combat the heat of the smoker, Sacha put up the big brollies on the deck and had a massive fan to keep us cool - so spoiled.... In the evening, we enjoyed fireworks all around us from the local city centers and some of our own with the neighbors in the court. One year we'll do the mall overlooking the Capitol for the 4th but this year, we wanted to spend as much time as we could with old friends.
